Welcome to the Digital Photography Courses Newsletter for November 2011.
This month -
- How to photograph fireworks
- Christmas Gift Vouchers from £25
- Extra HDR & Raw Course
- Refresher Course Spaces
Hi [fname]
The clocks have gone back and the darker nights have arrived, but it's not time to put those cameras away just yet. Modern Digital SLRs are brilliant in low light so just turn that ISO up to 1600 (and even more if you need to) and start taking some low light pictures.
It's Halloween on Mondayand Bonfire night is next week so switch the flash off, hold the camera very still, or put it on a tripod, and have a go. I've include some instruction for firework photography below so there can be no excuses.
By popular demand we have also added an extra RAW & HDR course for 19th & 20th November 2011.

This month’s project:
Firework Photography
The interesting thing about firework photography is that you can often get better firework pictures than the event you went to. The trick is to leave plenty of space around the display and keep the shutter open long enough to include several explosions rather than just the single burst. See full details below.

Extra HDR & RAW Course for Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th November 2011
November is a perfect time for HDR and RAW photography as the low sun during the day allows for including the sun in the picture and still maintain detail in both the sky and landscape.
This is one of my favourite courses but it does require you have your own laptop with some version of Photoshop as half the day is computer based. Spaces are very limited as we can only take a three students each day and two of those spaces are pre-booked. You can book below.

Refresher Courses
We very occasionally get last minute spaces on a beginners course and these can be taken as a refresher course for £75 by anyone who has already attended a beginners course or the AWBC course. If you wish to be notified when one of these spaces become available email me at glen@digitalphotographycourses.co.uk and I'll add your name to the list.
Upload your pictures to the Facebook group.
It's nice to see new students upload their images to the Facebook Group but it would be great to see even more. Please do not think your images are not good enough as we are all here to learn and with the support of the group your photography will soon be receiving rave reviews.
